Yoga Routines and
Postures to Reduce Stress
Yoga is a really great, mellow
form of exercise that will, not only, tone your body, it
will calm your mind and reduce your stress.
I started doing yoga a couple of
years ago when I was massively stressed out. For
the first couple of weeks, I had to force myself to do
my yoga routines. I was so stiff and I kept
falling over all the time! But, then I started to
see the benefits -- and much faster than I thought I
would. I wasn't falling over any more (during the
yoga), I was starting to get a bit more limber, I could
feel that I was getting more toned AND my stress levels
were really dropping! I was hooked.
Most yoga sites just have some
poses -- done by those freakish, rubber, pretzel yoga
people who eat nothing but yogurt and sea weed and have
0% body fat. This is going to be very different!
First of all, I'm not just going to show some poses, I'm
going to show you complete routines... that you
can do as a beginner! Even after two years of
yoga, I'm still not a pretzel yoga person. In
fact, I'm still not super limber. And I'm not 0%
body fat... Ha! More like 23%!
My poses may not be perfect... But, they're good
enough, dang it! So, dive right in and start
getting rid of that stress now!

Remember to always check with your doctor before
beginning any exercise routine, especially if
you have any existing injuries or health issues! |

Sun
Salutations
This is the place to
start -- not just a great way to start any yoga
routine, but a great way to start learning yoga!

Triangle
Warrior Series
This is a great yoga
routine to do between your sun salutations and
your ground series once your balance gets good.
It will REALLY tone your legs!

Ground Series
You can try this one
as a beginner right after your sun salutations.
A couple of the poses are harder (you'll find
them), but most are easy. This is a good
way to end any yoga routine!
