Yoga Posture - Half Lord
of the Fishes Pose

Yeah, you heard me right
-- half lord of the fishes... and I didn't make that one up!
If I had, it wouldn't have been nearly as weird.
Hold for
10-20 seconds. Focus on stretching your back and
reaching back with that left arm.
This one
is great from stretching your hips, lower back,
shoulders and neck.
I've seen
some pictures (you know, of those pretzel yoga people)
who manage to get their knee IN THEIR ARMPIT. Heh,
that's something you can shoot for -- I'm happy with it
this way!
This one
is really pretty easy to do, but it does take a bit of
maneuvering to get into!
TRANSITION:
OK, this is a weird one to get into, but it's not that bad
and feels good when you get there. From the pigeon,
pull your back leg in and get on your knees. Get on
the balls of your feet and roll back onto your caboose.
You'll probably need to do these next two things with your
hands. Lift your right foot and slide it so that your
heel is touching your left caboose cheek. Now, lift
your left leg and put that foot on the outside of your right
knee. Finally, put your right elbow on the outside of
your left knee and use the leverage to twist yourself in
that direction.
