Yoga Power Walks

Yoga Posture - Low Lunge Pose

TRANSITION:
From the forward bend, slide your right (or left) foot back.

Hold for 10-20 seconds...  This posture is harder than it looks!  It takes a lot of balance.  If you have difficulty, it's easier if you don't raise your arms up.  Keep your left leg perpendicular to the ground and really stretch that right leg back!  Arch your back and look upwards, if you can.

Another variation of this pose is to be on the ball of your back foot and have your knee off the ground.

Remember that anytime you do an asymmetric pose like this, at some point in your routine, you'll want to do it the opposite way.  Yoga is about symmetry!

VARIATIONS OF THIS POSE:

Keep our earth clean... DON'T LITTER!
