Yoga Posture - Reaching
Mountain Pose
This
is a great pose for working on your balance. It's
also a good time to picture yourself reaching for the
sky, heaven, success, or any goal you are working
towards.
EXECUTION: Hold for at
least 5 seconds. Don't tip your head back too far
if you think you might fall -- just do what's
comfortable. You may not be able to tilt your head
back at all at first and that's OK. You'll know
when your ready for that. Focus on arching your
back and reaching as high as you can! TRANSITION: From
the mountain or praying mountain pose, sweep your hands down and out as you move
them up - just like you are making a snow angel.
Stretch your arms WAY out. Inhale as you move your
arms out and up. |
